Beauty ahead of Time - Global Mind set : Chapter 3 Mind storming



Do you remember the metaphor of the sugar in the coffee cup from Chapter 2?  

You have a huge level of creativity, which can be stimulated by using a variety of techniques.  One such technique is mind storming.

According to brain specialist Tony Buzan, we have about 100 billion brain cells, each of which is directly or indirectly connected to about 20,000 other cells by neurons.  

Mathematically, the number of ideas and thoughts you can generate is between 100 billion and 20,000 – the equivalent of a one followed by eight zeros.  

The number of your ideas is greater than the number of molecules in the universe.  

It is possible that you are a genius.


Train your mind


Mind storming is the most effective way of solving problems and achieving goals in a creative way that has been discovered so far.  

It uses targeted problems to focus the human mind on a single problem.  In my experience, people who have implemented this simple method have become richer and more successful than with any other form of creative thinking.  In our seminars we can this method “The 22 Ideas Method”. 

Why is this method so effective?  

Because it’s really easy to do. 

Start with a sheet of paper and write down your most pressing problem or goal in the form of a question at the top.  

For example, if your goal is to double your sales and profits over the next two years, you could write. 

What can we do to double our sales and profits over the next 24 months?

The more specific the question, the more effective it is.  The more specific the question, the more effective it will be; even better if the goal is expressed in numbers or monetary terms.

What can we do to increase our sales from $5 million to $10 million over the next 24 months?


Drawing out the 22 answers

Next, start writing your answers in the first person using clear verbs.

For example, “We will hire and train 24 new sales people”.  Or, “We will introduce new products to our customers over the next 24 months. 

You owe it to yourself to keep writing until you have at least 22 answers.  You can work on your won using a notebook or report paper, or you can work in groups using a whiteboard or flip chart.  However, you must produce 22 answers. 


Four ways to change


There are usually four ways to achieve a goal or solve a problem.  

The first is to do more of something, the second is to do less, the third is to start something completely new, and the last is to stop some activities at the same time.


#1. Work hard, Be Self-Care

Are you living and working in a way that loves yourself? 

What do you value in your life so that you can always have a fulfilling life? 

What do you value in your life? And Why? When did you start to have these values?

Ask yourself these question again. 

You possess the courage and will to overturn the obvious and norm and always seek for innovation and originality. You do this together by exchanging ideas from the people around them.

Work hard, Be kind, and Amazing things will happen.

If you have an urge to do this today, What is itand how do you deal with it?


#2. Think of 22 answers and keep asking yourself. 


 “What should I do more of, what should I do less of, what should I start doing, what should I stop doing?

In this question, the answers to the first few questions are quite simple.  It is easy to conclude what we should do more of and what we should do less of. 

The next five answers will be more difficult.  You have to look for the answers.

The answers to the last ten questions are the most difficult of all the questions, and you may be tempted to give up trying to generate 22 answers.  You may be tempted to give up on generating 22 answers, but set yourself the task of writing down at least 22 answers anyway. 


Surprisingly, it is often the twentieth answer that requires the most effort and is the clue to transforming a person’s business or life completely. 


#3. Aim for more, no matter the quality. 


Every time you find an answer and write it down, you relax your nerves and stimulate your creativity. 


Don’t worry about the quality.  Just aim for more and more.  


Write down the first idea that comes to mind then write down the opposite of that idea.  Keep trying to come up with 22 answers.  You’ll be amazed at how often the answers just fall into place.  Many of my students have told me that this method has helped them solve problems they have been struggling with for six months or more.


#4. Take immediate action 


Once you have drawn out the 22 answers to your questions, review them and choose at least one idea to put into action immediately.  By acting on the idea immediately, your creative ideas will flow like water for hours.  If you do this task every morning before you go to work, you will find yourself thinking creatively throughout the day.  You will be s healthy and agile throughout the day as if you had done a physical workout every morning.  


For anyone, starting something new or different is one of the most difficult things to do.  Once you have a great idea, you have to overcome your usual attitude to delaying and lagging behind.  This is the “comfort zone” that we all fall into so easily.


You will be equipped with insights and ideas that will impress yourself and those around you.

1. Write down your biggest problem or goal at the top of the page in the form of a question.


2. Don’t leave your seat until you have come up with 22 ideas or answers to the questions.



3.  Think and write for 22 minutes at a time.
