“What would you like to make of your life?” (=How
would you like to live your life?)
There are many things to do in our life such as
business, work, enjoyment, etc.
I believe in the end, however, that the essence is how
you would like to live your life, or what kind of life is ideal for you.
What I say now is my experience. But, I am sure that
you have experienced the same kind of situation.
I once “strongly wished to buy a wristwatch” and one
day I bought it finally.
My satisfaction or sense of fulfillment lasted only an
instant, however.
Since then, I could not help but feel empty.
It was because what I wanted was a material thing and
my elation was instantaneous and did not last long.
In the meantime, the wish “to be like this or like
that”, in other words, the wish “to achieve an objective or a goal” lasts
forever. This is because your wish is something which lasts forever.
For this reason, it is important for you to determine
“what you would like to make of your life”, or as “how you would like to live
your life”, as I said earlier.
However, each of us have different objectives or goals
in our life and you may just choose the kind of life you would like to enjoy
for yourself, accordingly.
Then, how do you get your happiness?
Or when do you find yourself most fulfilled?
---------------------------------------------
There is no meaning in an occurrence.
The point is what kind of meaning you attach to the
occurrence.
---------------------------------------------
However, In addition, it is said that the patterns of
attaching meaning vary depending on each person.
You can become honest when you are given an advice.
But, you become irritated when the advice is given by
persons around you.
There is no difference in the fact that an advice has
been given.
Notice that your feelings and thoughts change by who
you are give advice or depending on which situation you find yourself in.
■ Being given advice is not “being attacked”, but
■ being given advice leads you to improvement for your
progress and growth.
I believe that if you consider this way, you will be
able to create a pattern in which you may progress and grow.
What
do you think is the aim of this seminar?
What
did you learn most through various daily activities (including work) in Japan?
And,
what do you think are the things that are most different from your country?
You
have to learn more within a limited time in addition to what you have already
learned. In the circumstances, how do you intend to do so?
Please
kindly tell us your actual frame of mind, attitude, actions to take and
requests to your colleagues, if any.
You
can tell us also your request to the secretariat.
We
hope that you are focused and perform your duties in a proper manner.
We
all strongly wish that you will become a person capable of having good manners,
politeness and consideration to other people in order to build a good personal
relationship.
